These are stories that I collected as I talked to the elders and other people on reserves that I visited. What I have tried to do is present a different point of view to accepted aboriginal history and culture.

This is the story of my first day teaching. It happened in 1946 Rowland Hill School near the town of Cando. There are pictures to be added but I have to figure out how to do that.

In Saskatchewan, authorities have been closing schools as the rural population declines. To close a school in a small town means that that town has lost an important part of their identity. This move to School consolidation has been a long time in the history of this province. It has to stop and alternatives developed.
